Covid-19 Kills Four Daily In Enugu,Says Government Committee

The Enugu State Government on Monday Lamented that three to four people dies everyday of coronavirus related ailment in the state.

The State Noted that most of the deaths were being attributed to Malaria by family members. The Chairman, Enugu State Expert Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Emmanuel Ejim, Stated this why briefing journalists on the activities of the committee, adding that State government had put stringent measures in place contain the spread of the virus.

Ejim, a consultant cardiologist with the university of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu,said Three to four people die at UNTH everyday of coronavirus related disease. COVID 19 Cases are escalating on daily basis. I lost four patients to COVID 19 in my clinic.

Many people are claiming that they have Malaria. Many are dying and it’s not Malaria.” While attributing the escalation of COVID 19 in the State to lack of adherence to measures put in place, Ejim said , We encourage the government to bring the military into the enforcement.

Churches should shorten their time of service.
